Catalog description

This course is required for students participating as Peer Facilitators in the Principles of Biology lecture sequence. This course provides a strong introduction to effective teaching, including designing and implementing active learning exercises, incorporating technology in learning, creating explicit learning objectives, instilling belonging and inclusion in the classroom, and responding to potential conflict. The first half of each meeting is set aside to discuss the PoB tutorials with the Instructor of Record for PoB. The second half of the session will be a paper discussion about teaching more generally.
