Catalog description
This course builds on ARABL-UH 1132 Elementary Qur’anic Arabic and is designed for students with that prerequisite or equivalent proficiency. It is a proficiency-based class where the four language skills—reading, writing, listening, and speaking—are integrated to simulate real-life situations. Students will continue exploring the language of the Qur’an while developing vocabulary, syntax, and interactive conversation skills. They will learn to understand and use words and phrases common in the Qur’an as well as in everyday Arabic communication, deepening their knowledge of Arab and Muslim cultures, traditions, and religious life.
