Catalog description

This seminar examines modern and postmodern theories and methodologies, such as, but not limited to, Marxism, feminism, and poststructuralism. The purpose of the course is to acquaint students with a broad range of critical schools and approaches relevant to upper-level course work in the liberal arts, and to do so by emphasizing the reading of primary theoretical texts. Class participation includes presentations, student-moderated discussions, and peer feedback. For specific course section descriptions, please contact your advisor. This course is open to Global Liberal Studies Sophomores (GLS) ONLY.
