Understand the essential elements of the new New York State and New York City Energy Codes that were officially enacted in January 2011. This course covers the mechanical, envelope, and lighting/power requirements of New York State and New York City. Topics include prescriptive and performance-based ways to comply with the code, standard compliance methodology using COMcheck, an introduction to the performance-based Energy Cost Budget Method of ASHRAE 90.1, and code enforcement.
