Catalog description

The course in troduces students to f undamental p rinciples, safety practices, e quipment, and techniques necessary for oxyfuel cutting. Topics include metal heating and cutting principles; safety procedures, use of plasma cutters, cutting with manual and automatic cutting machines, material layout, arc gouging and use of general shop equipment. Practice is provided in the laboratory section of the course.
