The Management and Pr ocess of Reading

Catalog description

Attention will be given to reading skills and concepts in addition to providing practical instruction on classroom management of reading instruction in a classroom setting. Current and research-based best practices will be introduced for instruction of emerging readers in the early-middle grades. This course is required as the first course in the reading sequence. Students must complete 10 hours of clinical experience in a public-school setting. A minimum grade of” C” is required for successful completion of this course.
