Principles of Phlebotomy

This course is intended to prepare the student with the theoretical knowledge required in an entry-level position as a phlebotomist. Phlebotomy procedures and techniques will be reviewed in addition to the equipment and principles related to each. Students will perfo rm various phlebotomy techniques in the st udent lab in preparation for their phlebotomy practicum. The student will further be introduced to various related information such as interpersonal communicatio n s skills and medical legal issues covered as well.
