General Education Introductory Statistics Enhanced is a course that stresses statistical literacy with conceptual understanding, relevance, and interpretation of key statistical processes. Correct use of vocabulary is imperative. Students will recognize the importance of data collection with proper sampling, experimental design, and identification of possible errors. As a minimum, a scientific calculator should be used to aid computation. Two additional hours of instruction will be included for supplemental teaching and help with course content. 109 College Algebra (3 Credit Hours). College Algebra is a 3-credit hour course of the algebraic, numeric, and modeling approach to the study of polynomials, equations, inequalities, and functions, with or without technology, and with appropriate symbolic manipulation skills. It includes the use of appropriate mathematical language, including symbolism, to define, evaluate, and analyze the characteristics of functions. At least 70% of the course time must be spent on all essential topics
