Catalog description

This course is an intensive study of medical information systems. Students acquire an understanding of health information systems and the application of those systems in the health care environment. Security and confidentiality of information stored in the computer-based patient record will be addressed, as well as the logistics of monitoring and utilizing the information. Pre-requisite: COSC 101
