Catalog description

This course presen ts a working know ledge of bio mechanical principles for use in the evaluation and treatment of musculoske letal dysf unction. It will a ddress the biomechanics of musculoske letal tissues and structures, t he biom echanics of the mo st commonly injured human joints, and applied biomechanics. Special emphasis will be placed on musculoskeletal anatomy and physiology as each student will be responsib le for learning the origins, insertions, and actions of the prime movers of the primary a rticulation. Pr e -requisite: (BIOL 231 and BIOL 233L) or consent of instructor.
