A historical journey of a multi-cultural continent. Politics, economic disparity, military dictatorship, oppression and revolutionary resistance are studiedthrough the lens of arts and literature. The most varied styles—social-realism, surrealism, fantasy, magical-realism, etc.—complement factual history to offer an accurate picture of a cruel social reality. (Same as ENGL 355)
