Catalog description

Fundamental theory and experimental techniques in scanning electron microscopy. Electron optics, electron beam interactions with solids, signal detection and processing. Chemical X-ray microanalysis. Undergraduate students majoring in Materials Engineering are required to take MTLS 4083 and MTLS 4083L concurrently.
