Catalog description

Internship to be conducted in the public sector (e.g., national labs and local governments), at an industry firm or small business, or at a research organization (including those on campus), working on managerial aspects of business processes, technical projects, or policy events. The purpose of the internship program is to enhance hands-on experiential learning outside the classroom. To receive credits, students must have the internship course approved in advance by the department or program chair. Students are required to produce a final report about their internship program.Prerequisite: At least junior standing or consent of advisor.
