Topics include material yielding, torsion, unsymmetrical bending of beams, shear stresses in thin-walled structures, curved beams, beams on elastic foundations, axisymmetric thin-walled shells and thick-walled cylinders, column stability, stress concentrations, and material failure behavior under steady and cyclic loading.
