Catalog description

An overview of global and orogen-scale tectonics and tectonic processes, including: historical development of concepts, methods to constrain, describe and model crustal and lithospheric strength, plate boundary types, formation and destruction of ocean lithosphere, an continental tectonics (ocean-continent and continent-continent convergence, strike-slip margins, extensional tectonics and passive-margin development). Shares lecture with GEOL 4054, with additional expectations for graduate credit.
