Catalog description

Study of Quaternary faults, including basic field techniques, tectonic geomorphology from fault scarps to mountain fronts, patterns of faulting, structural analysis of faults in alluvium, relation of surface to subsurface structures, paleoseismology, and review of Quaternary dating methods. Shares lecture/lab with GEOL 4030, but is graded separately and additional graduate-level work is required.
