Catalog description

Conjugated polymers are characterized by alternating carbon-carbon single- and double-bonds. Due to this conjugated backbone, conjugated polymers have unique semiconducting properties different from insulating commodity polymers. This course is designed to develop comprehensive knowledge in conjugated polymers from textbooks and recent journal articles. Topics include introduction to polymers, synthesis and characterization of conjugated polymers, and applications for conjugated polymers such as organic electronics and sensors.
