In-depth overview of biochemistry. Emphasizes structure, nomenclature, functions, and reactions of biomolecules, especially proteins, enzymes, carbohydrates, nucleic acids, and lipids. Includes quantitative theories associated with biochemical reactions and processes. Shares lectures with CHEM 4041, with additional expectations for graduate credit. The graduate and undergraduate versions of the course will differ in assignments and exams, while sharing the same lectures.
