Independent Study

Catalog description

This independent study course provides doctoral students with the opportunity to engage in focused learning under the guidance of a faculty mentor. Students will explore specialized topics aligned with their academic and professional interests, deepening their expertise through self-directed study. The course fosters critical inquiry, independent scholarship, and the application of geographic theories and methods to advanced research. May be repeated up to 6 credits.
