Catalog description

Introduction to the art and science of computer security. Fundamentals of computer security including elementary cryptography, authentication and access control, security threats, attacks, detection and prevention in application software, operating systems, networks and databases. Taught with CSCI 4205 . Requires more advanced graduate work than CSCI 4205 . Recommended knowledge of materials in CSCI 2220 .
