Catalog description

This survey course explores the development of historical archaeology, its methods and theory, and popular research themes within the discipline. Students will be introduced to the ways that archaeologists identify and analyze historical-period documents, oral histories, features, and artifacts, and how they use these data to deepen our understanding of the recent past.
