Catalog description
This course addresses issues influencing the value of real estate with some emphasis upon rural properties. Topics include courthouse records, property taxes, appraisal methodology, expert courtroom testimony, condemnation, and legal issues. Students will take field trips and write appraisals. Course material is relevant to students in Finance, Accounting, and Pre-Law, as well as Agriculture. Accredited for hours to apply to both pre-licensing and continuing education requirements of the New Mexico Real Estate Commission for both Appraisers and Real Estate Brokers.
