Catalog description

The purpose of this course is to gain practice with effective communication techniques prior to the first clinical education experience. This course involves large and small group discussion and collaboration to develop professional behaviors. Case-based learning is used to analyze problems that may occur within various PT relationships, with a focus on maintaining curiosity and objectivity to strategize and develop solutions. This course will also orient students to the objectives and expectations of the first full-time clinical education experience.
