Introduction to Sport Pedagogy

Catalog description

This course is designed to provide teacher candidates with an overview of effective and best practices for becoming a professional physical education teacher and to develop the beginning skill set of a high-quality educator. The teacher candidates will be given the opportunity to observe professional physical education teachers in their classrooms, from Albuquerque Public Schools. Teacher candidates will participate twice a week in a one-hour seminar and assist a physical education teacher in the classroom, two hours per week. For physical education majors only.
