Catalog description
Students will be introduced to the basics of pharmaceutical calculations. The course begins with and overview of the metric system and common unit conversion. The course will then cover SI sytstem, ratio and dimensional analysis, density, specific gravity and volume, active drug calculation, reduction and enlargement of formulae, percent and ratio strengths, dose considerations, and finally concentration and dilution of active preparations.
