Catalog description

In this course we will explore epidemiological methods through the lens of social epidemiology. For the purposes of this course “social epidemiology” will be defined as the use of epidemiological methods to understand the relationship between the social determinants of health and health outcomes. I have structured the course so that for the beginning part of the course we explore a different topic area in social epidemiology week by week, followed by a discussion of interventions and study designs toward the end of the course. This course is not comprehensive of all social determinants and is meant to be an introduction to the field of social epidemiology.
