Catalog description

Introduction to Epidemiology (PH 502) is an introduction to the basic epidemiologic methods used in population and public health. This is a graduate level course intended for Master of Public Health students and others who would like to learn epidemiologic concepts and study designs in public health. For those planning to participate in the epidemiology concentration of the MPH, this course serves as a prerequisite for additional advanced courses. Students are required to achieve a B or better in in this course and the Introduction to Biostatistics course (PH 536) to enroll in the next sequence of advanced courses (Advanced Epidemiology and Advanced Biostatistics).
