The focus of this course is on principles of pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics which support safe, evidence-based clinical decision making. Knowledge of clinical therapeutics, including drug categories essential for pharmacologic management of primary and acute care problems, is also emphasized. Content includes pharmacologic considerations related to age, genetics, health status, pregnancy / lactation, and patient context.
