This course provides an overview of the US health system and the main policies that shaped it, including the complex infrastructure of public health and the health care system, analyzing their historical development, organization, financing, and delivery of services; its performance compared to other health care systems; the key interest groups that shape the health policies; and the main policy challenges, scenarios for improvement, and proposals for change.
