Pre-Health Observational Learning

Catalog description

In-person observational learning provides opportunities for students to engage their whole being within a context in a way that can facilitate lifelong deep learning. This course is designed to help students make deep connections between what they have learned in classrooms about social determinants of health, culture, and health professions with real world contexts in both cognitive and affective ways. The two components of this course: shadowing and community engagement aim to provide students with meaningful experiences in their pre-health preparation.
