Explore the importance of integrating psychology into healthcare and gain skill development in patient communication especially about difficult or uncomfortable topics. This two-tiered course will explore the importance of integrating psychology into healthcare delivery, as well as, provide skill development opportunities in patient communication. Many professional health students struggle with patient interactions about difficult or uncomfortable topics. After a brief review of foundational psychology theories, students will explore how behavioral health impacts medical conditions and outcomes.
