Catalog description

This course provides a comprehensive study of the practical and theoretical skills needed to plan, implement and evaluate health promotion programs in a variety of settings. Emphasis will be placed on the major components of a sound planning model: needs/asset assessment; priority setting; evidence-based strategies; program goals and objectives; program implementation; and program evaluation. We will also study ethical issues, health equity and diversity as they relate to community health program planning and evaluation.
