Catalog description
This course is designed to provide students with an interdisciplinary approach to understand environmental issues through an environmental justice lens. This course of study invites students to critically analyze examples of environmental justice cases and to develop an understanding of the complex relationships among actors and the social, political, and economic processes that lead to environmental injustices. This course begins with an examination of the foundational principles and history of the environmental justice movement and includes the concepts of justice, gender, race, and class.
