Community Emergency Medicine at SRMC

Catalog description

During this SRMC EM rotation, students assume the sub-intern role under attending supervision to grow clinical skills in the evaluation, treatment, and disposition of patients presenting to the SRMC ED. The patient population differs from UNMH ED, be that suburban, rural, indigenous, medically underserved, land grant or other represented communities of Sandoval County. The work, often faster-paced or lower acuity compared to UNMH, offers opportunity to experience community Emergency Medicine.
