Catalog description

Students will explore how discourse and critical analysis have developed since the inception of the field of Chicana and Chicano Studies until today. Students will analyze and discuss Chicana/o criticism and theoretical texts through class discussion and weekly theoretical papers. Additionally, students will construct final research paper students in which they utilize terminology, discourse, and rhetoric by Chicana and Chicano scholars to generate further discussion on critical thought by Chicana and Chicanos.
