Limnology is the study of inland waters and has, as its central focus, the structure and function of lakes and rivers. Freshwater ecology topics include lake and river formation, light and heat, hydrology, water chemistry, organismal diversity, and food webs. Fulfills the INT breadth requirement of the Biology BS/BA degree.
