Catalog description

Introduction to anesthesia delivery systems is grounded in the physical principles involved in the delivery of anesthesia. Coursework in the class will provide knowledge and skills relevant to the mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components of anesthesia monitoring, delivery systems, and their safety mechanisms. This course will equip students with the knowledge and skills to prevent and troubleshoot critical incidents in anesthesia delivery. Student learning will be obtained through readings, media assignments, lectures, and hands-on activities.
