Catalog description

This online asynchronous course will teach students to understand medical terminology as it pertains to each body system, including an overview of how the different organ systems function, information about various medical disorders, and information about diagnostic and treatment procedures. Using graphics and study tips students will not only learn definitions and root terms, but also their application in the medical world. Students will be provided with fun and unusual facts to help remember the medical terminology in unique ways. There will be opportunities to see how medical terminology is used in the real world through case study assignments. The knowledge from this course will prepare students for a career as an anesthesiologist assistant through providing a framework to the medical terminology that is used daily.
