Catalog description

This course is designed to provide students with real world experience in the music industry and to assist students in developing their professional network within the music industry. The internships will assist the students in learning about music industry practices and procedures, time management, communication skills, and other professional enrichment. Students will be separately placed in internships by the Cooperative Education Office as well as attend a weekly class meeting. Students are responsible for showing up to the internship on time on their scheduled days and for performing all assigned duties and abiding by all company policies in conjunction with their on-site supervisor. In addition to journal writing and other assignments, students will be responsible for preparing a final project showcasing what they learned at the internship.
