This course examines the extraordinary life of P.T. Barnum (July 5, 1810 - April 7, 1891). Students will analyze the success of one of the most accomplished performers and businessmen of all time. They will realize how the arts, psychology, sociology, and history in the U.S. were all radically altered by the tenacity and drive of one 19th century visionary.
