Mythical Themes in Literature

Catalog description

This course offers a study of major mythological themes and how they are employed in works of literature. Students read works that deal with love, temptation, salvation, and transcendence and invoke figures such as Orpheus, Prometheus, Oedipus, or and Christ. Fulfills the Humanistic Perspectives requirement for Gen Ed.
