Prerequisites: ENGL 101 with grade of C or higher. Pre or Corequisites: ENGL 102 . This introductory course provides a comprehensive overview of the theatrical design process, exploring the essential skills and techniques involved in creating the visual world of a production. Students will gain a solid understanding of the roles of various design disciplines, including scenic, lighting, costume, sound, and properties design. Through theoretical discussions, practical exercises, and case studies, students will develop an informed response to the text, a critical eye for design elements, and learn how to effectively communicate their design ideas to collaborators.
