Catalog description

Prerequisites: ENGL 101 , ENGL 102 , and one 200-level Cultural Literacy GER with grades of C or higher. This course explores emerging or specialized areas in psychology that extend the standard curriculum. Topics vary by semester and may include subjects such as cognitive neuroscience, cultural psychology, digital behavior, or applied mental-health research. Students engage with current scholarship, evaluate contemporary debates, and explore practical implications within the selected area. Emphasis is placed on integrating theoretical knowledge with empirical evidence and applying psychological insight to real-world issues. The precise topics to be covered are announced in the semester prior to the offering of the course. This course satisfies the three-credit 300-level GER in History and Humanities.
