Pre or Corequisites: PSY 210 . This course examines how individuals think, feel, and behave in relation to others and their social environments. Students explore classic and contemporary theories of social influence, conformity, persuasion, and group dynamics, as well as topics such as prejudice, implicit bias, aggression, and altruism. Emphasis is placed on understanding how situational, cultural, and interpersonal factors shape behavior and how social psychology informs issues such as leadership, relationships, and collective decision-making. Through readings, discussions, and applied exercises, students gain insight into the interplay between individual personality and social context and learn to analyze everyday social behavior through a scientific lens.
