Prerequisites: PSY 210 . This course examines the psychological factors that influence performance across various domains, including the performing arts, medicine, the military, and business. The course employs a scientist-practitioner approach, allowing students to explore how theory and research inform applied practice, enhancing essential aspects of performance, including emotional regulation and perception under pressure. Intervention strategies for managing common mental performance challenges are covered. Course activities are designed to accommodate a range of performance interests, enabling students to develop critical thinking and analytical skills in interpreting scholarly work and applying performance psychology principles within their own professional contexts.
