Prerequisites: PSY 210 . This course presents fundamental sport psychology concepts applicable to various careers, including coaching and athletic training. Students examine how psychological factors influence performance, motivation, and participation in sport and exercise contexts. Through lectures, in-class discussions, and practical examples, emphasis is placed on key topics such as mental toughness, anxiety and arousal regulation, self-confidence, goal-setting, and concentration. Foundational theories are integrated with applied strategies to help students understand how psychological principles enhance athletic training, performance, and overall well-being.
