Prerequisites: ENGL 102 with a grade of C or higher; PSY 210 and PSY 213 . Corequisite: PSY 307A . This course introduces students to quantitative research methods and data analysis in the social and behavioral sciences. Students learn how to design studies, manage datasets, and apply statistical reasoning to test hypotheses and interpret empirical results. The course covers experimental and non-experimental designs, descriptive and inferential statistics, and effective strategies for data visualization and reporting. Emphasis is placed on ethical data practices, critical evaluation of quantitative research, and the integration of statistical tools into the research process. The semester culminates in an applied research project that demonstrates students’ ability to analyze and communicate quantitative findings.
