Pre or Corequisites: ENGL 102 with a grade of C or higher. This course introduces students to the principles, logic, and ethics of research in psychology. Students explore how knowledge is generated, evaluated, and communicated through both qualitative and quantitative approaches. Emphasis is placed on developing clear, testable research questions, reviewing and critiquing scholarly literature, and designing a small-scale research proposal. Through guided exercises and discussions, students strengthen their ability to critically read empirical studies, reason about evidence, and write in a professionally standardized style. The course builds the foundation for advanced work in psychological research and data analysis.
