Catalog description

Prerequisite: ET 103 . Restriction: Minimum of Junior Standing. This course introduces the core concepts of machining, with emphasis on interpreting dimensions and tolerances to support manufacturing and inspection process selection. Topics include manual manufacturing processes, workholding and tool holding, and inspection techniques. The course also builds competency in reading and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Students develop foundational skills for applying machining concepts in engineering and industrial environments.
