Prerequisites: undegraduate fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer and differential equations. Fundamentals of conduction, convection and radiation heat transfer. Practical engineering applications of heat exchangers including the design approaches by Mean Temperature Difference and Effectiveness-NTU methods, fins, convection fouling factors, and variable property analysis.
